Taking The Long Way on Cape Cod
Sometimes taking the long way is a better way. I was on my way to Chatham today to run a few errands and instead of driving on route 28 to Main street, I decided to go around the long way. Queen Anne, Old Queen Anne, Old Comers, Orleans Rd onto Shore Road. Really the long way and in the summer, the really long way with traffic.

Shore Road is iconic. The fish peer, the famous Chatham Bars Inn and the Hydrangea house. It's nearly impossible to drive in the summer with the walkers, bikers and cars. It's a beautiful stretch of road that lead me to taking a left onto Claflin Landing next to the Beach House of Chatham bars Inn. I spotted the red fishing boat that is always docked there when not out at sea. I've driven by so many times but I stopped today in the bright winter sunshine to snap a few photos.

I just stayed a couple minutes but those minutes gave me a little reset on this midweek February Day. Take the long way once in a while to get a few minutes to yourself, and the seagulls !!
