Mini Tabletop Greenhouse

I was cleaning out my "Monica Closet" at my studio this week and found 7 wood frames I purchased a few months ago from amazon. Funny, I had just recently seen a video of this project and thought I would give it a try.

.

What you need

  • 7     5"x7" frames
  • Glue gun and stix
  • cotton roping. Could be clothesline or whatever you have
  • Wood beads
  • painters tape

I took off the backing and cardboard from each frame.

I applied a small bead of glue inside between the glass and frame. It keeps the glass secured.

.

I used painters tape to form the base with 4 frames. 5" w and 7" tall. Two facing frames on the inside and the end frames on the outside.

.

I then applied a bead of glue the length of the BOTH the frames edge top to bottom and quickly secured it to glue in place. I worked fast as the glue dries fast. Re applied the tape to secure while I glued the same way on the other end to form the boxes main base.

.

The roof was a little tricker. Form a roof shape to fit the top. You want the roof to be able to sit on the top edge of the base. Then tape for a temporary hold for gluing. Glue top and under to secure and then tape again to hold.

.

I glued cotton roping to go around all the outside edges to first hide the glue and to give more support to the walls and roof. Then glued wood beads along the top for a finished look. The 7th frame became the base and is not attached so plants can be inserted.

.

very simple really, just some patients and really could use a second set of hands when gluing. Happy Spring !!
