MAKING ROOM TO CREATE
When you are an entrepreneur, you need to dabble in a few things to keep the income coming all year long. I've always thrived on having multiple "mini businesses" going all at the same time. My wholesale, web site, The Cottage, Cape Cod, Pop Up's all while creating new designs to sell.

.
I took on TOO many "mini businesses" in 2021. I think I just threw my hat into everything that came my way... and it caught up to me. By December I was completely burnt out and lacked any creative energy. I was "tapped out".

.
Mid December I always begin to tie up all the loose ends, begin shopping we fabrics, drawing up new designs for the following year and plan the pop up and show season. I didn't do that last month. I knew there were things to let go so I could get my creative side back. First thing, take a step back from wholesale. It had been so long, 25 since I started that I didn't ever considering dropping that part of my business. Once I did, I felt an enormous sense of relief. I wasn't going to be buried, feeling all the pressure by April. Best decision.

.
I have a couple more big changes coming also, but letting go of wholesale gave me a burst of creative energy that I needed to start the new year off. I do think that making room will allow things, otherwise there is no room for to present themselves.

Cheers to all the lady bosses out there that make about 1,000 decisions everyday. It's not easy but the rewards out weigh the hurtles.
Here we go 2022... I'm ready for you.
